What it means
Shalooby + Loofer = Shalooby Loofer
The name Shalooby Loofer comes from the nicknames of two amazing girls; my daughters Madison (Shalooby) and Maggie (Loofer). Do not ask where these nicknames came from because I do not remember :) I started calling Madison “Madi-Shalooby” and then eventually Shalooby and when her little sister came along I started calling her “Maggi-Loofer” and then eventually “Loofer”. These pictures are a bit outdated, but I love them so they are staying!

The theme
The magical theme all started with my designer, Tim Myers. When I first engaged Tim to help out with logo design, he responded that he thought the name sounded like a magic spell. A magical theme seemed so appropriate, as we spent countless hours reading Harry Potter books and watching the movies with Loofer and Shalooby growing up. Our theme was born! About 30 iterations later, we had the Hop Wizard you see in the background as a logo, and were on our way to building out the ambiance of the Tap Room with the magical theme so many people rave about today.
